Plan meals from a target dish or from your bag, read craft steps and recipe cards, and estimate craft profit with manual or Lodge AH prices.
The Cooking tool answers two questions: what can I cook with what I carry, and how do I craft a specific dish? Pick a mode at the top, fill the left column, and read results on the right. Optionally turn on Show prices to type gold values (or pull Lodge Auction House offers) and see craft profit per step.
Use this mode when you already know the meal you want. The left card is labeled Final product — select exactly one food. The right panel shows the craft chain from base ingredients up to that dish.
Choose How to cook. Search or filter the left grid (type and stats) and click one item — only a single selection is kept. That selection is your craft target for the whole right panel.
Steps are numbered from the earliest craft to the final dish. Each equation shows inputs on the left, stations/tools on the arrow, and the output on the right. Work bottom-up in-game: finish early steps before later ones. Missing stations or tools still block you even when the tool lists the dish.
Some items are ready food (no craft recipe) or unknown recipes (dish exists, requirements not in the data yet). Those notices replace the step list — you buy or find them as-is.
Use this mode when you are staring at a backpack and want a shortlist. Mark everything you carry on the left; the right panel lists recipes that match that bag.
Choose Use Ingredients. Click as many items as you want — this mode is multi-select. Filter by type or stats if the grid is crowded. Select only what you own (or will buy); inventing inventory makes “ready” cards lie.
Ready to cook means every listed ingredient is in your selection. Other cards are partial — something is still missing or needs an intermediate craft. Toggle Only recipes I can cook… to hide partials.
On a card, Show recipe switches to How to cook for that output so you can walk the full step list, then Back returns to your bag results. You can also click on the item names — that will lead you to the food detail page, where you can see the recipe and other details as well.
Gold tools live in the right column above Recipes. They mainly pay off in How to cook, where each craft step can show a profit line.
The Craft profit table appears under the steps in How to cook. Each column is one step; Total is the sum. Profit for a step is sell(output) − sum(input prices). Fill every item in that step (typed or AH) or the cell stays empty.
