Plan class, level, stat and trait points, equipment, and spell rotation — then save, share, and browse community builds.
The Character Builder is the core planning tool in Apogea Lodge. Use it to experiment with class, level, ability (stat) points, trait trees, gear, consumables, and spell rotations before you commit resources in-game.
Every character starts as Squire. You can promote to Knight, Rogue, or Mage by paying a trainer (100 gold in current rules). After leaving Squire, the combat class choice is permanent. Classes apply multiplicative modifiers to base stats; they do not lock trait picks.
Go to Builds → Create a Build, or open /builds/builder.
Use the class selector. Each class has different base modifiers and the same shared trait tree rules.
Level drives how many ability points and trait points you may spend (see the next section).
These are the core leveling rules players need while planning a build. Exact UI labels may say “ability points” or “stat points” depending on version copy.
Spend ability points into Health, Mana, Ability, Magic, Attack Speed, and related pools. The overview table updates live with equipment and trait bonuses.
Useful derived rules while allocating (confirm in-tool tips if a patch changes them):
Spend trait points on the radial tree. Nodes unlock passives and actives that change damage, defense, mobility, and more. Prerequisites and max ranks matter — follow lit paths from the center outward.
Fill the equipment grid to apply item stats, resistances, and weapon properties. Food and potions are both “consumables” in-game, but the Lodge builder treats them differently:
Queue spells in cast order. The builder checks level, class, and trait requirements when data is available.
Spell rotations help other players understand and optimize your build strategy, and they can also be reused in the Battle Simulator.
Public Build Lists (/builds/public) shows community submissions. Each card summarizes class, level, and activity. Open a card for full stats, gear, traits, comments, and votes — then use Open in Builder to fork the plan.
Use the filter panel to find builds that match what you need:
