Plan a rarity upgrade path, price raw gear and ingots, read works / 1 breaks / both breaks chances, and compare expected forge cost to buying the finished piece.
Equipment Craft estimates whether forging an upgrade is cheaper than buying the finished piece. Rates follow the Apogea Wiki forging calculator: each slam can work, break one item, or break both. Expected gold cost comes from the average materials burned until you land a success — including every step when you jump more than one rarity.
Configure quest points, pick the piece you want to upgrade, choose raw and target rarities, then enter gold prices. Results update as you type — there is no separate Analyze step.
At the top of the left column. Higher quest points raise success the same way as the wiki calculator; both-break chance stays fixed.
Turn on “Use Lodge Auction House prices”, pick your server, and gold fields fill from active sell offers when a listing exists. Leave it off to type prices yourself.
Click the raw item slot to open the picker (search and filters). Set raw rarity and a higher target rarity — jumping multiple tiers shows every ingot along the path. Changing raw rarity only bumps the target when raw would catch up to it.
Prices start empty when you pick an item. Fill raw item price, each ingot, and the target market buy price you want to beat. Uncheck “exact price” next to Results to read large numbers as k / kk.
The right column keeps the slam math and the forge-vs-buy verdict in one place. Material cost uses average items and ingots burned until success — the same approach as the wiki forging calculator.
One compact table: works, 1 breaks, and both breaks. If the path spans several rarities, each column is a step (letters tinted like the rarity bars).
Market value, expected material cost, and expected profit update live. Avg. attempts / success and Avg. items burned list how much of each base item and ingot you expect to spend, with miniatures beside the counts.
The button at the bottom rolls a single slam using the last step’s chances. The dialog shows success, or which materials break (one item or both).
If expected profit favors forging, gather materials and craft in-game. If buying wins, shop the Auction House on the same server you priced.
